NSW-Israel Research and Development (R&D) Program

The NSW-Israel R&D agreement will allow companies from NSW and Israel to collaborate with one another to conduct joint research and development projects.

In April 2016 the NSW Premier signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Israel’s Ministry of Economy. As part of this agreement, Israeli companies will be able to collaborate with NSW companies to co-develop and commercialize innovative products with financial support from both governments of up to $250,000.

In Israel, support will be granted by the Israel Innovation Authority and in NSW participants will be supported by Jobs for NSW.

Support will be available to all industry fields, but with a particular emphasis on cyber-security, water management and agricultural technology. Projects based in regional and rural areas of NSW as well as businesses considered to be start-ups or high growth will also be prioritised under the program.

The program will open in early 2017.
