The NSW Innovation Strategy

This is an external link which opens a new window

After consulting with the NSW innovation community, Government launched its Innovation Strategy on November 30, 2016.

Why the renewed focus on innovation?

Simply put, economies that innovate are more productive, can adjust more quickly to structural change, and deliver higher-quality services to citizens. While Government has already laid the foundations to support a strong innovation ecosystem in NSW, the Innovation Strategy will provide sharper focus for our efforts.

Informed by your insights

The strategy sets out Government’s vision and actions in four areas of activity: innovation within the public sector; investment in commercially-focussed research and development; developing skills for jobs of the future; and partnering with local government to make Sydney and NSW even better for entrepreneurs and investors.
